LAYOVER Tour

At times, some of our clients arrive early in the morning into Prague and continue to another destination later on that day.  It only makes sense that they want to see at least the hightlights of the city.  This tour allows you to do just that.  Depending on the time you have in Prague, you can take a half day tour of Prague - 4 hours or full day tour of Prague - 8 hours.

Your professional, English speaking guide will meet you as you come out of customs after you land in Prague and takes you via public transportation or the vehicle of your choice and size requirement into the city.  Depending on how much time you have, you will visit the highlights.  For a full day tour, this is suggested. First you visit the Prague Castle area.  This area was first settled already during the Bronze Age, however, the first documented dwellings were built here in the 9th century. It was the home of our kings and queens for many years. Now it houses the office of the president of the Czech Republic, several museums, the St. Vitus Cathedral, the Royal Palace and more. We will walk through this “Hradčany” district viewing the Loreta, the Archbishops Palace and other interesting areas along the way to the castle.  There you visit part of the St. Vitus Cathedral, walk along the 3 courtyards and admire the architectural marvel that our ancestors created. Then you walk down through the Little Quarter (erroneously called the Lesser Quarter in some literature), if you are interested, we take you to visit the Infant Jesus of Prague.  Walk over the Charles Bridge via the coronation route to the Old Town Square, view the Astronomical Clock (Orloj), go up the Old Town Square Tower for a magnificent view (elevator) and end on Wenceslas Square, the new part of town, "only" 600 years old.

After the tour, your guide takes you back to the airport via public transportation or the vehicle of your choice again.   

Please note, since we will be sending you a guide (and vehicle if chosen) to the airport to your flight, this tour needs to be prepaid in full and is non-refundable, should your flight be delayed or changed.  If your flight is changed, just call us and if possible, we will reschedule your tour.

A driver/guide version is not available for this tour since there is no parking in the inner city of Prague and many sites can only be visited while walking.  A driver/guide could not leave the vehicle and walk with you to these sites.

Duration:  4 hours or up to 8 hours.  You should have at least 6 hours between arrival into Prague and the departure of your continuing flight.  In case you choose the "no vehicle" option, you can store your hand luggage at the airport.
