The picturesque medieval town of Kutna Hora, part of the UNESCO World Cultural and Natural Heritage, is situated approximately 60 km east of Prague. The sources of its beauty and riches are the silver mines that were exploited most extensively in the 14th and 15th century.  At that time the town rivaled Prague itself in importance.

During this excursion you will visit interesting sights such as the unique gothic cathedral of St. Barbara, the patron saint of miners and the nearby Italian Court, which was once not only the mint but also the royal palace, where kings and queens stayed during their visits. The Prague Groschen was minted here, a very important coin accepted all over Europe during the medieval times for payment.

Then visit the nearby Ossuary, the "bone house". This is a church decorated with the bones of 40,000 people who died during the 30 year war (1618-1648) as well as the Husite wars (1400-1600). The tour includes entrance fees to the St. Barbara Cathedral and the Ossuary
