Boat Tours
Prague, as most cities of Europe, is situated on a river. The Vltava (Moldau in other languages) beautifully meanders through the city and was well described by Bedrich Smetanas' classical masterpiece "Vltava", a part of the collection called "My Country" (Ma Vlast). The river is the reason for the city being built in this area in the first place. It gave the Prague citizens plenty of water as well as a "road" to travel on. Until the building of the first bridge in 1172, the Judith Bridge, there were days when it could be crossed on foot at a shallow point, the spot chosen for the Judith Bridge and later the Charles Bridge.
We offer several boat tours for you to enjoy the magnificant scenery of Prague, only possible from the rivers point of view. Since the river is still fairly shallow, weirs were build and on the longer boat tours, going through a lock is part of the fun.
